I almost think sometimes I should rename my blog to La Casa de Mac or Life at the Apple House instead of Life at the Quarry.
I’m a huge fan of Apple. Always have been, for as long as I can remember. I’ve always worked on Macs too. My job at the Real Estate Book and now for the paper and magazine. When my sister took over the RE Books and moved her office home, downsizing, she gave me the computer I had used for the 7 years I was there full time. It’s a 12 year old G3 PowerMac that runs like it is brand new still. Proof that they’re built tough and worth the extra money you have to spend. I have iPods and eventually persuaded my husband into getting an iPod instead of a Zune. I purchased my dream laptop last year as a birthday present to myself – a MacBook Pro with all the bells and whistles along with the big screen. I felt that it was more than worth it’s weight in gold.
And now, the iPad. I finally joined the world of tablets with the big momma of an iPad, the fully loaded iPad3. An early birthday present to myself.
My husband, a Toshiba guy, feels like he’s drowning in a sea of apples. He complained when I got the MacBook Pro, yet seems to have no qualms about using it. Or the G3… And I’ve already caught him on the iPad twice. I’m a firm believer in Apple and the quality product they make. I know that once I can get someone to use one of their products, I’ve made a new convert.
Sure, it’s some extra pennies – but trust me, it’s MORE than worth the investment. Trust me.
