No New Years Resolutions.

Why don’t I make New Years resolutions? Because to me, it’s just a gimmick. Why do you have to wait until a specific date to set a goal or goals for yourself? Why not start working on achieving them the moment you think of them?

The day I decided I wanted to train to compete, I started a program to put me on that path. The second I looked at a local road race schedule and decided I wanted to run a 5-kilometer road race, I started getting ready for it. Last Spring when I wanted to start blogging more regularly, and about a broader range of things other than my photography and life as a photographer – I did it. None of this waiting until the start of a new year.

To me, if you want to do something, don’t wait. You never know what tomorrow brings. When you think of it, or decide you want to do it, take that step forward and become proactive in achieving it.
